Where angels fear to tread . . . but for my sake they do

The two remaining people who actually read this blog, you know that I'm not dead. I just haven't had much to write about.

Until now, that is.

I have a girlfriend! Yikes! This is huge news to me; it has been over three years since that last was true. And because this is to me a very big deal with all sorts of ramifications and consequences, to use the words of
The Book of Common Prayer, "it should not be entered into unadvisedly or lightly." But nonetheless, I'm excited and hopeful for what may come. (Now, if we can just figure out that whole Richmond-Chicago technicality . . . .)

Olivia and me at Thanksgiving outside Chicago. Come on and feel the Illinoise!

Congratulations, both of you. She's a great girl.

Friendly advice: her mom packs a mean punch.

Came over at the suggestion of the woman who's wondering who the cute girl is. What a sweet reflection on your beginnings. Definitely worth writing about!

Just you jolly well look after her, or you'll have a llama to deal with.

Yes, a very nice looking couple there. Congrats. When you do get together it will make it all that more special. But I'll be praying about that as I remember.

Apparently, this girl comes with a whole slew of new blog readers -- myself included! :-)

Yeah, what gives? Did Susan put you up to this?

well, you said you didn't have very many readers, didn't you? Sounded like you would like some more.....

And most of us do blog to be read - right? So read some of their blogs and respond to the comments and maybe they'll come back and read what you write - I do keep telling you that what you write is readworthy!

Halfmom told me about you, had to stop in and check the story out. You guys make a really cute couple!

Some "motherly" advice ~
Pray, pray and continue to pray that God works with your heart and pray for her as well. Y'no, infatuation always comes first but when the blinds are wide open - THAT'S when it's truly the BEST!

Thanks to all the newcomers (or not-so-newcomers) who've visited and commented here. Best wishes for an expectant Advent and peaceful Christmastide.
